WELCOME
Welcome to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Health Information (OHI). This site has been prepared to facilitate a smooth transition to your new position within OHI. OHI is a proud supporter of telework and you will find that OHI is a very geographically dispersed organization. Your supervisor will be your most important organizational contact and is responsible with determining and notifying you of your eligibility for telework as well as providing you a copy of your position description and performance standards. An OHI administrative point of contact (APOC) will be identified to assist you in navigating the onboarding process. Please note that you may encounter some location specific requirements and processes that are not specifically addressed in this resource.
OHI's human capital program is administered in partnership with the VHA Service Center (VSC), located in Cleveland, Ohio. The VSC is the primary contact for all offers of employment and payroll related administration. The VSC provides a new employee orientation call that is mandatory for all new employees. The new employee orientation call takes place the first Monday of each pay period at 1:30 p.m. EST. If a holiday falls on the scheduled day of orientation, the orientation will be moved to the very next day (Tuesday) and a separate Live Meeting invitation will be sent. The VSC will send each new employee a new employee packet which contains important information relating to the onboarding process.
